Pour your water and vinegar mixture into a microwave-safe bowl, and heat it for about 5 minutes. This will remove dirt using steam. All you have to do is wipe with your sponge for a clean oven. Moreover, it is also possible to clean your microwave thoroughly with just a lemon.

Caution: Always wait 20 seconds before removing the bowl to avoid splashing hot water and use oven mitts as the container will also be very hot.

6. Enamelled steel pans and saucepans
Like stainless steel utensils, enamel pans and pots can easily be cleaned with white vinegar. To do this, boil water and vinegar to soften the residue, leave for a few minutes then scrub with soapy water before rinsing.

7. The coffee maker and kettle
These everyday appliances can provide a breeding ground for bacteria, in addition to very quickly accumulating limescale and mineral deposits. To get rid of them, pour equal parts water and white vinegar into the kettle then boil the solution. Once done, rinse with clean water.

For automatic coffee machines, you may need to add more plain water to remove the vinegar smell.

8. Cooking plates
Plug your sink and immerse your plates in hot water. Add a mixture of half a cup of baking soda and another half cup of white vinegar. The reaction of this mixture will help eliminate grease residue. Leave everything to soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour then scrub the plates using a scouring pad or steel wool.

9. Stainless steel household robots
To eliminate bad odors from your electrical appliances, start by unplugging the plug, then take a microfiber cloth that you soak in vinegar. You will just have to use the latter to wipe the bowl.

10. White spots on lenses
Due to its concentration of minerals, hard water can leave your glasses with cloudy residue. To remove stains, place the glasses in the sink and let them sit in a water and vinegar solution for a few minutes. The vinegar will dissolve the minerals and keep the glasses shiny. You will just have to wash them normally.

11. The pressure cooker sealing ring
Some containers have a sealing ring which, over time, can accumulate stains, mold and release bad odors. To get rid of it, fill your sink with water and white vinegar and soak the ring in it (ideally for 1 hour). Then wash it with dishwashing liquid before letting it dry.

If you don’t want to use the sink to treat your seal ring, pour the solution of white vinegar and water into your pressure cooker, adding lemon juice. Then run a steam cycle until the stains and dirt disappear.
