There’s nothing quite like the smell of a hearty breakfast filling the house in the morning. The sizzling sound of sausages, the aroma of golden hashbrowns, and the promise of a delicious start to the day. Today, I want to share with you a recipe that combines these beloved breakfast staples into one delightful treat: Baked Sausage Hashbrown Balls. These yummy bites are perfect for a lazy weekend brunch or even as a grab-and-go breakfast during the busy weekdays.

Now, let me take you back to a special morning, one that truly exemplified the magic of this recipe. It was a Sunday, with the sun gently streaming through the kitchen window. I had prepared a batch of Baked Sausage Hashbrown Balls the night before, wrapping them up in foil and leaving them in the fridge. As I preheated the oven and placed the golden spheres on a baking sheet, the anticipation grew. The aroma that filled the kitchen as they baked was simply irresistible. When they emerged from the oven, perfectly browned and crispy, my family gathered around the table. The first bite was pure ecstasy – the savory sausage, tender hashbrowns, and hints of herbs and spices made our taste buds dance with joy. It was a meal that brought us together, our laughter and conversation filling the room, all thanks to these incredible little balls of delight.

Baked Sausage Hashbrown Balls

Ingredients:

30 ounces or 4 cups of frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
1 pound of uncooked spicy sausage (can also do regular sausage)
1 and a half cups of Bisquick mix
1 and a half cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 package (8 ounces) of cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all your ingredients. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated. (Feel free to use dough hook attachment of an electric mixer, if preferred)
Using a tablespoon or a small ice cream scoop, portion out the mixture and roll it into balls. Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until done.
Allow the Baked Sausage Hashbrown Balls to cool for a few minutes before serving. They can be enjoyed as is or served with your favorite dipping sauce.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Simply reheat them in the oven or microwave before enjoying.
