Instructions:
In a large glass jar or container with an airtight lid, combine the moonshine and orange zest. Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for about 3 to 5 days. This will allow the alcohol to absorb the orange flavor from the zest.
After the infusion period, strain out the orange zest from the moonshine and discard it.
In a separate container, mix the orange juice and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. You can adjust the amount of sugar to achieve your desired sweetness.
Add the sweetened orange juice, vanilla extract, and heavy cream to the infused moonshine. You can also add a few drops of orange food coloring to enhance the appearance.
Seal the container and let the mixture rest for an additional day to allow the flavors to meld together.
After the resting period, give the moonshine a taste to see if it’s to your liking. If it’s too strong or too sweet, you can adjust the flavors by adding more orange juice or cream accordingly.
When you’re satisfied with the taste, transfer the Orange Creamsicle Moonshine to individual bottles for storage or gifting.
